I walked a mile through the 30+ inches of snow and see how Conrail was coping with the weather. I set out for the N.Y. Route 21 overpass in Palmyra and was able to endure about an hour of stomping my feet to keep warm to record the scene. The storm eventually dumped a total of 38" of snow, but Conrail managed to plow through the mess.
